About
NEAG
Northland
Exposure Artist’s Gallery has become a destination
gallery for art lovers in the greater Kansas City
metropolitan area and throughout the Midwest. Our
artists
offer a range of artistic expression and media,
including oil, acrylic, pastel and watercolor painting;
a variety of mixed media and drawings; sculpture;
handcrafted jewelry; photography; pottery; fine wood
products; stained glass and fiber art. New artwork is
continually introduced throughout the gallery adding to
its freshness and diversity.
An
Artist-Owned Gallery
As an artist-owned and managed gallery, the organization
is governed by an elected board of directors with all
members serving on committees to ensure efficient
operation. There are usually two artists on duty
whenever the gallery is open for business.
Founded in 1999
Northland Exposure Artists' Gallery was founded by a
Northland artist, Debbie Pfauth, who opened an art
gallery in Smithville, Missouri. In 1999 it was
reorganized as a cooperative gallery and moved to
Parkville. The gallery has been in its present location
on Main Street since March of 2005. Over the years
Northland Exposure Artists' Gallery has grown from a
handful of dedicated artist-members to a flourishing art
gallery comprised of nearly 50 talented regional
artists.
We
Welcome New Members
We
eagerly welcome talented local artists to our gallery.
Prospective artists may
apply for membership
and
arrange to present their work to the Jury Committee.
Scholarship Program and Silent Auction
Each
year we award scholarships to graduating Northland high
school seniors planning to pursue a visual arts
education. Our major fund raiser for the scholarships is
the Blue Dot Silent Auction comprised of member donated
works. This fun and worthwhile event starts in October
and ends with a reception in November when the winning
bidders are announced. This is a wonderful opportunity
to obtain some great artwork at even more reasonable
prices while supporting a worthy program. Students
may obtain an application and more information from
their school’s art department. The following high
schools participate in the scholarship program:
